iMessage to come to Android?
Apparently someone decided to get people excited by spreading word that iMessage might come to Android by next week. While it’s not 100% sure, the idea would help bridge gaps between iPhone and Android users. This will make it possible for Android and iOS users to communicate securely as iMessage features end-to-end encryption – even Apple cannot access users’ messages. Currently, iMessage is accessible through the Messages app on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 5 or later or on a Mac running OS X Mountain Lion or later. Android/Mac users could take advantage of the relatively seamless messaging experience connected between the smartphone and desktop. Finally, you’d be able to leverage the full convenience of the Apple ecosystem even if you’ve only partially invested into it. Again, these are just rumors and speculation of what Apple might do this coming up Monday when they have their annual WWDC 2016 in San Francisco.
